I've been testing Apple Intelligence since yesterday on my iPad Pro, configured to use the US English language and the US region (I live in Canada and my primary language is French).๐ง
Incidentally, my iPhone still running iOS 18.0 automatically switches to the same region. Both are linked for some reason. I don't want that. ๐
So far, it's a good start, with a rather polished onboarding experience and typical results for generative AI. I don't expect Apple to be better than others here.
I'm not able to trigger the type-to-Siri thing by tapping twice at the bottom of the screen (the horizontal bar). Apple Intelligence text proofing can be used with variable success on some third-party applications like Craft and Ulysses. I can see a future without Grammarly Premium. ๐๐ป ๐ธ
I really like the new Siri look ๐ (I hated the colorful bulb).
Upgrading all my devices to 18.1: that is the question. It depends on how afar 18.0 and 18.1 branches will be with each beta. For now, I'll keep my iPad Pro as the preferred playground. ๐ค
